How to Find Inspiration
Do you ever get stuck in a rut? You know, logically, that you love what you do, but the motivation just isn't there to actually get. it. done?
Sometimes, feeling a bit lazy means you're working too hard and you need a break. (Really: read our interview on the subject!) But other times, a shift in perspective is what's called for. One thing we like to do is focus on the why — as in, why we created Workshop in the first place. It's easy to procrastinate when we're in the weeds in writing a story. But when we think about how we can support the amazing small business community in Canada, we get excited all over again.
That's why our favourite stories to create are the ones that feature YOU, our members and readers. They inspire us, but they're meant to inspire you, too, with a look at what others in the community are up to. This issue, we learned how one Ontario retailer likes to curate her collection of products, found out that you can grow indigo in Timmins (with a little help from a greenhouse), and were blown away by the incredible selection of handmade toys available from Canadian makers. We hope these stories will inspire you and give you fresh ideas for your own business.
Yours in making,
